Hello,
I have a quick question: I have been able to play a variety of games so far on my switch using SX OS, both in xci and nsp formats. When I install an NSP game onto my switch, I always open it to ensure it's working properly. I installed a game and made sure it worked, then left it for a bit and went back to it and noticed that I could no longer open the game at all. I was met with an error stating that the gamesave was corrupt and it attempted to fix it which brought me to an internet connection error (This makes sense due to SX OS's stealth mode). I'm trying to figure out what caused this - could it be that I deleted the nsp files from the SD Card after the installation?

Also, I installed the game to the SD Card and the game update to the main storage if that makes a difference.

No, you don't need to keep the NSP file.

The problem seems to be the game must be updated because the save was made while in an updated version of the game. And it doesn't find the update, since it's in the internal storage.

Try deleting the update from internal storage, and install it to the micro SD.

Rommenu (TX's title installer) has been known to corrupt games and while many people have not encountered this issue, others have. More details can be found in the thread where the discussion took place: https://gbatemp.net/threads/psa-sx-oss-nsp-installer-can-corrupt-the-installed-game.516854/

I would suggest using Tinfoil to install NSP files as it has 0 chance of installing a corrupt NSP nor corrupting any installed NSP files. Also, deleting the NSP file from your SD card after installation has no bearing on the installed content. You don't even install an NSP file as what you're really doing is opening the NSP file and copying the inner NCA folders onto your destination of choice.

Yea ALL NSPs I install w/ SX OS are corrupt. How do you use Tinfoil? Does it work on 6.0.0.? IMO if that doesn't corrupt then that;s what I'd prefer to use. SX is fine for XCIs.

EDIT: nm found it https://gbatemp.net/threads/tinfoil-now-with-network-install.515932/

Tinfoil works perfectly fine for me on 6.0 (or at least when I was on firmware 6.0). Other people also report normal usage of Tinfoil on 6.0

OK thanks, going to use tinfoil as SX OS corrupted all NSPs I install. I have yet to find 1 NSP that wasn't corrupt w/ SX OS.

SXOS corrupts every installation of NSPs it does, but yet they all seem to work fine. But you're right in switching to tinfoil. Better be safe than sorry. Devmenu also doesn't corrupt NSPs it installs, but cannot be used on firmware 6.0. I hope TX fix up this NSP corruption issue they have, even if it seems insignificant.
