Gaming Corrupt System Data ?

I turned on my Wii tonight and if i left it on the Wii Home screen. After about 20-50 seconds i get a black screen with white writing that tells me i have corrupt system data check owners manual. Has anyone else got this?
PS i can still play games i just cant leave it set in Wii Home screen. Weird huh?

I thought of that but i need to get an access point usb adapter first.. How are the updates done? Automatically?

you need to setup the internet option in the Wii config menu and it downloads every update available. I've received 3 since launch day...
