Here's my first custom (public) theme. I made a couple others, but for now they are still for personal use. But this one I made specifically with the intention to release it.

It's DSTheme! It's a theme that makes the Home Menu look more like the DS menu from DS/DS Lite! :D

Download link attached to the post. ;)

Comes with preview image for preview inside CHMM if that's what you use to install themes.

Theme features custom graphics, custom color scheme, and custom sound effects/background music! :D (Well that's if you consider the faint ticking noise the DS normally makes "music". :P )

Wow, it's wonderful, I don't have a 3DS with exploit, but I love this theme :yaysp:

someone can teach me how to make a theme

custom theme tools(easier to use + tutorial):

https://gbatemp.net/threads/tutorial-how-to-make-a-custom-3ds-theme.377533/

alternative option is to use YATA(no tutorial included):

https://gbatemp.net/threads/release-yet-another-theme-application-yata.379209/

that should get you started.

edit: well it didn't explain it very clearly so here's some quick info for Custom theme tools:

1. Open Customthemetools(3DS_ThemeEditor.exe)
2. File->Open->body_LZ(It opens Kingdom Hearts theme as default)
3. Import your upper screen picture to tab 0(you can see number and arrows next to it)
  • Get image
  • Resize it to 400x240
  • put it on 512x256 template starting from [6,0] (You can use http://i.imgur.com/rdhEnii.png for example)
  • convert image to bmp
  • on custom theme tools File->Import->find the image you just made
4.Import your lower screen image to tab 1
  • Get 1-3 images
  • Resize them to 320x240
  • put them on a 1024x256 template starting from [0,0] side by side (You can use http://i.imgur.com/LJgJiws.png for example)
  • convert image to bmp
  • on custom theme tools File->Import->find the image you just made
5. Save
6. Now the theme you just made is in body_LZ

We still only have the ability to load just the one theme right?

Or am I out of the loop?

atleast with CHMM you can have multiple themes on your console at the same time(have to reboot when you want to change it though)

In my own opinion, and I hope I offend no one, I feel that YATA is the better program. You can customize way more details in the theme and it will not at all leave a color mark at the top left of the 3D screen. Kudos to the creator!

I'm searching EVERYWHERE to find Japanese voice clips of Shulk and possibly some in game sound effects for my Xenoblade Chronicles 3D theme i'm working on. Theme is 95% complete, just needs sounds. If anybody can help I would highly appreciate it. thank you.
