I;m not happy with the DSTWO. Their emulators pretty much suck and offer a gaming experience that's so bad you wouldn't even want to use them. DSTWO emulators = useless. The movie player is ok but it doesn't do most of the things advertised. The e Reader dosen't even work with pdf in any real way. So all the DSTWO can do well is play DS games. You can buy a lot of cards that can do that for a lot less. At least the Cyclo looks like it's features will actually work and I'm looking forward to DSi mode.

There's no concrete answer anybody can give.
The DSTwo is the current best solution, offering the best possible emulation and video playback solutions. For some that may be inadequate, but for others it may be great.
Although the CycloDS iEvo is coming, we don't fully know what it will be capable of, how will the DSi mode work? What advantages will it really have?
This is further compounded by the possibility that there will be a public DSi exploit very soon, which may or may not require additional hardware (see attached link)

In any case, to your question I can only pose another question, what matters most about your flashcart?
Are you most interested in being able to play DS roms, or are you really interested in the extra features?

If it's just DS games, I say opt for the DSTwo, since it has the best compatibility and is the most future proof flashcart available.
If you are interested more in DSi features, homebrew potential and more, you may want to see what the CycloDS iEvo or the DSi Exploit offer.

@Xdqwerty there is health behaviour you can add to your character, then to use a health bar is lil more complicated, google n watch a few tutorial video on it, be too hard to explain here.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the character has the health behavior
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
I know you have to create a health and health max variable. Then there is a calculation you use in code to subtract width size of the health bar. Google few vids.
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@BigOnYa, the "greenflatbar" is one of the preset health bars btw
  • BigOnYa @ BigOnYa:
Yea you can use any bar/sprite. It will just change the width. Ok good luck and have fun. I'm off to go shoot some pool at the bar. Talk to you later.
