Yeah, I think I heard before that because the reset function was part of the software, then if the DSi froze for some reason (although I've heard virtually no cases of that) you also wouldn't be able to turn the system off properly. With separate buttons it wouldn't be a problem.DeltaBurnt said:aguyyyy said:Yeah, but there already IS a power button on the 3DS, and I bet that it has the same purpose as the button on the DSi---to bring you back to the DSi menu (like you said), so the home button probably has some other thing it brings up...
I think they just took out the reset from the power button and put it on the home button.

We don't know, nothing has been said.BortzANATOR said:So theres nothing right now on the software that comes installed on the 3ds?
I am curious becuase i am wondering if the 3ds will be as powerful as i want it to be.
Also, anyone think there may be some apps for the 3ds? like a paint app, proper web browswer with flash support, and the ability to download files that arent relevent to the 3ds, but can be stored on the SD card for later use?
What if it is just like the pause feature on the psp go, and deletes the save once you startEdgedancer said:Real time save would be a feature of a game rather than the system itself as it would remove challenge for a vast number of titles. IMagine a game like Elite Beat Agents having real time save.naruses said:Yeah, I noticed, it seems we are getting an Wii-like home menu, who knows maybe multitasking or in-game pause.
Or a realtime save, it would be amazing if an in-game menu Ala SC DSTWO.

Konno: Unfortunately we can't talk about those details, but Nintendo takes piracy very seriously. And we'll enhance and improve all the protection we can. It's very important.
Max size of ds games is 256mb(apart from 1 512mb japanese game)isabelyes said:IIRC, the max. size of normal DS games was 2 GB, too.
Nothing to get all fussed about, though the average 3DS game might very well be 256 - 512 MB.

Sorry aguyyyy.Overlord Nadrian said:Yeah, like Cyan said, this could be just like the PSP has, a small pause screen with a couple of options. And even if it was like the Wii's home button menu, how do you come to the conclusion it will use .ISOs?
I love how everyone here thinks cracking software is easy

Well cracking software is actually very easy. I hacked my wii and i use a flashcart for my DSi.
Y... you're joking, right? Please tell me this is an awful joke.Malletboo said:Well cracking software is actually very easy. I hacked my wii and i use a flashcart for my DSi.
I'd say it's like one of those bubble buttons, you know like on those cheap keyring tv remotes.Malletboo said:Well cracking software is actually very easy. I hacked my wii and i use a flashcart for my DSi.
No it isn't, sweetheart.
QUOTE(BlueStar @ Jun 18 2010, 07:39 AM) If the bottom buttons are touch sensitive I wonder how easy it would be to touch them accidently when you''re holding the DS in one hand and using the stylus. Can't really picture how I hold my DSL off hand. Remember that I used to hold my Phat by the bottom-middle but then that was because there was a big-ass SuperCard SD sticking out the bottom that was good for holding onto.
