A workaround for 4.2 happened less then 12 hours after it's release and NSMB was cracked 2ish (or more) days before an offical release, I'm confused about your definition of hard.
The harder something is to do, the more rewarding it is to do.

I said this before, and I'll say it again, what did you expect would happen?

You leaked what will likely become the most bought game for the holiday season, with your name on it and everything.

Did you honestly think there would be no consequences?

That, and I honestly don't understand what makes you think it's getting harder and harder. If anything things have become easier. Bannerbomb allows homebrew without anything but an SD card, and as far as game protections go, there are very few games like NSMB out there. And like others have pointed out, the protection was fixed, and it was fixed before the game is even in most stores!

I know your site was shut down, but I think you're letting it get to you.

I'll say it once, Wii is a homebrew GoldMine, games's are easily hacked (New Super Mario Bros was hacked with a simple cheat code, it was just like hacking a ds game). The only way to get out of this trap, is to make another Wii console with different hardware, software and so on.

i honestly have never heard of that site until it got closed. if you want to use this as an excuse to quit messing with your wii, go ahead. why stop there. just quit using the internet completely.

but for most people, this is like asking if 1 porn site was shut down, would you quit downloading porn? everyone will say no. thats when you go find another site for your porn. they all have the same type of pictures and same poses. probably the same girls. the internet is a big place and having 1 site close is no reason to do anything except open 1 up in its place.

first of all I just got started on hacking the wii, it was easy enough with all the resources on the web, I installed the homebrew channel bootmii and dvdx along with emulators for nes, snes and genesis...anyone with half a brain can do the hacks. This is some poor excuse for a guy trying to say it's time to stop hacking the wii, hey man how much did nintendo pay you to come here and say that??? LMAO.....and on to this awesome quote below

Are you serious? Quit hacking over a single game being slightly difficult to crack, and a single website getting shut down? What are you on, and where can I get some????

Just take a look at the 360 hacking scene right now.... it's in shreds. The hombrew was practically killed and over 1 million people have now not only been banned from xbox live in the last wave, but had their consoles gimped as well. But even after that, they keep on rollin' and that's what we should be doing as well!

By the way, nice pics Dteyn

uhh.. no

never heard of yafaze until now, and no... unless u guys are in trouble with Nintendo and are getting sued, then No.
Cos of homebrew, it actually makes the console interesting to own, without homebrew it would be a brick gathering dust next to my tv.

I too was a member of YaFaze and am quite disappointed to find out it was closing!

If you have any contact with Kongs or any other members, please let me know via PM!

If you manage to get YaFaze built up again - please let me know via PM!!!

Thankyou mate, I'll miss YaFaze!

I was lee1978 over at yafaze, and im gutted that it got shut down.

It would be good to see yafaze again, maybe in different guise, under a different name?

And to anwser the original topic question. No, I dont think Wii hacking should stop. But I do think more people should buy the games they like.

I don't think Wii hacking should stop either. There's lots of fun stuff you can do with your Wii thanks to it. I do agree with ConJ about buying the games though.
Not that I have anything against pirates, I just think that the use of wads and isos has gone a bit overboard and that's why Nintendo is paying closer attention to the homebrew scene.

First of all Id like to thank KongzNutz, Marth, Hundshammer, Maker, and the rest of the yafaze team. You all helped me learn about wii modding. Second, f*** big N and MS. They all bleed people for cash that barely get by in tough economic times. I will miss yafaze. I have there guides in pdf format. Its never time to give up hacking! Thats what they want. Hope C4eva's new ixtreme lt sticks it to MS!
