Agree, Some peoples wanted the dutch version but IMO english is way better.

I've already beaten the English version. I haven't played the first Layton in Dutch, because I couldn't find the rom. But this one seems worth a try. Some puzzles might be a bit different as well. Also, Lufia 2 also has a Dutch version, and that's an excellent translation as well. In fact, I prefer the Dutch version for that game over the English one.

Might not like this one as much as the English one, but that's what I want to find out. Did they do a good job with this or not?

Lol the dutch are the weirdest first they all beg for dutch roms then when one comes they complain .....

GBATEMP should ban all dutch roms, .... but then again we have korea too. But korea at least isnt a village like netherlands..

People complain because some things get lost in translation. If you can speak Englisch, you'd rather play the Englisch game. But, we have children here who don't speak English (and some older people as well) so for them, we want the Dutch games.
And we're not a village!

We want to see our movies / TV series in English (except when it's originally Dutch) with Dutch subtitles,
we also have a choice whether to use the Dutch or English version of Windows when we buy it.

And like 99% of all PC/console games are English or have an English option when Dutch is available.
They should've added that to this game as well.

Although I really loved the Dutch version of Beyond Good and Evil. (Which didn't have an English option (but French) on the GameCube)

And On-Topic, there is a custom ROM circulating on the web. It has dutch screen texts, but English dialogs.

I agree, but stiil I think it's a good move, purely because this game is sort of edutainment and it's never a bad thing to make the youngsters use their grey cells a bit more. (stupid little pipsqueeks!!)

i just dont like it in general cuz of the dutch movie translations it FKs up all the voices and it sounds just dumb and same is with the game voices they just sound wrong most of the time lol and i dont there theres even 1 guy here in holland that doesent speak english... (children not included that is)

For people looking for an undub (meaning that that text and subtitles are Dutch and the voices are in English): take a look at this: http://ndss.nl/viewtopic.php?f=21&t=40...;p=44220#p44220
This little program can undub your Dutch version if you have the English (European) version as well. It hasn't been tested well, but I think it's quite well written and it works fine for me. See the link for (Dutch) instructions.
