Hacking Homebrew DSTWO latest firmware?

So i bought DSTWO back in early 2010s and it had issues with language being in chinese and english firmware not working. I searched around and found a discussion on GBAtemp for the fix to this issue. That was my first time getting to know GBAtemp.

Recently found that DSTwo and curious if there are any new firmwares that work with that chinese language issue. What is the best use for this flashcart?
