hovercraft showed me this forum earlier today, and it looked cool, so I joined. donno about other new members, but the intro forum didn't have anything to do with my joining.

That's really great to hear.

One of the reasons we created an introduction forum is so our members would feel 'closer' and more welcome. I'm sure without an introduction forum a lot of members feel uneasy about introducing themselves or even posting. And that would be a bad thing because I know we have a lot of lurkers here.

(BTW, that image seems out of place? If you want it as part of your forum 'signature' then just go to your 'My Controls' and then to 'Edit Signature' and place the image there.
