Failed to read NSP metadata when installing Update via tinfoil?

Hey, I just tried to install the 1.1 update for pokemon brilliant diamond on tinfoil, but this shows up.
What can I do to fix it?

make sure your firmware is on 13.0.0 that fixed it for me i had the same issue

Install TinFoil v.13 , install UPDATE GAME (nsp file) / and... My GAMES is Broken

now working, had to update atmosphere and awoo and switch firmware

I'm on 13.1.0 and having this issue, does this mean I need to downgrade?

Update: nevermind, Awoo installed it fine but Tinfoil didnt work.

I figured it out! The message "Failed to read NSP metadata" happens when your Tinfoil is outdated!

Update your Tinfoil.

Just go to the website and download the top left one and replace in your switch folder on your sd card.
Then install new in albums (blue thing on menu screen).

My tinfoil was up to date, but re-download and reinstalled just in case. Still seeing failed to read nsp metadata.
