Fatal Error On Viewing Index After Editing Profile Settings

Under "Edit Profile Information" I changed the "Which Portal Do You Want To Use" setting to "Old-Style Portal" and now when I try to access http://gbatemp.net/index.php (GBATemp Homepage) I get this error:

Fatal error: Call to a member function query() on a non-object in /var/www/virtual/gbatemp.net/htdocs/sources/global_functions.php on line 156

I'm guessing that this setting was broken as a result of the upgrade?

Before changing this setting I had no trouble accessing the index after the upgrade.

You'll get essentially the same error trying to click "READ" on release topics through the portal.

I have the same problem as Paralel.. hope you guys can fix the old style portal

I've get the problem when I click on 'Read' from a release on the portal...
