Hardware Flashing green light on Nintendo Switch Dock

I haven't used my dock for about a week and I just used it today, I plugged it into my tv and docked my switch but all I get is a flashing green light on my dock. My Switch is not modded (yet) so I'm not sure why this is happening.
Is my dock broken? I can charge my switch when plugged into the charger but not when I have the charger plugged into my dock and my switch docked.
Edit: sorry, fixed it. I just had to insert the power cable to my dock and then plug in the hdmi cable. Now it works.
