Okay so my friend was playing Microsoft flight simulator on his xbox one s (same xbox as mine) and I tried to join him and it said only xbox X|S users can play this game and was like why cannot I play this he has the same xbox as me how do I fix this (I have the deep blue limited edition xbox one s and he has standard white one s)

Because you have an S model and so does your friend - this game can only be played on the new series S or X. The only option to play this game on lower models is via cloud play
