Homebrew FTPii stops working after client disconnected

I wanted to build an FTP server using an old Wii I had, so I installed the homebrew channel and downloaded FTPii, after some struggle, I figured out and I could transfer files from mi SD card to my PC, and viceversa.
Then I realized that after I disconnected I couldn't connect again until I restarted FTPii.
I this normal, and is there a way to prevent this from happening?
