Escape Velocity DS - I talked to ambrosiaSW abut this and they said they would publish it if some homebrew programmers made it....
Verbatim Mordheim
Bungie games:
- A.B.U.S.E.
-PiD
-Minotaur( single pak multiplay)
-Marathon Trilogy.
Bolo DS ( if you know what this is, your rock)
Metal Gear DS( not MGS!!!, like a a revamped top down snakes revenge or even better, a literal remake of metal gear, the game that started it all.)

Any Blizzard game but most reasonably a Diablo and StarCraft port or extension. I'd also love to see Counter-Strike, Alien Swarm (A UT2k4 mod for those of you who haven't heard of it), a zombie survival game, Hitman (not the anime), The Ship, Halo, Super Smash Bros., and last but not least a tag game, complete with Wi-Fi and various versions of tag such as basic, freeze, virus/zombie, etc... (I once pitched that idea as a homebrew).

ehm, none of those look too appealing.

what I'D love to see, but never will:
- Armored Core (Ported from PSX)
- Legend of Mana (Ported from PSX)
- Seiken Densetsu 3 (Ported from SNES)
- Bahamut Lagoon (Revamped port from SNES)
- Sonic The Hedgehog Classics (A collection of the old SEGA games: StH, Sonic 2 & Knuckles, Sonic 3 & Knuckles)
- Mike Tyson's Punch-Out! (A straight port with updated graphics, kind of like KSSU)
- Starcraft (PC port)
- Quake 3 Arena (PC port)
- Super Smash Bros (remade for the DS)

( i know you said quake 3 but the graphics involved in that just wouldnt run on a ds.

ehm, it's not the graphics. Q3A has insane online multiplayer, which is something the DS could (should) pick up on. they just gotta abandon friend codes and switch to the typical server-lobby system real games use. let me see a list of all available games and PICK which one I want to join!

and for starcraft - the starlite proof of concept looks neat, but that's all it is. and even if it were completed, without a Battle.net-like service it'd still be pretty dull.

Banjo Kazooie DS (and Banjo Tooie)
Sonic CD DS
Black Sigil (ok this is a joke, but the constant delays make it seem like it will never come out)
A new 3D Mario platform game (do want, but will probably NEVER happen)
Zelda Ocarina of Time DS (and Majora's Mask)
Donkey Kong 64 DS
Donkey Kong Country trilogy pack (I hated the GBA ports)
Mario RPG (the SNES version)
Fzero
