Homebrew Gameyob and GBARunner2 Cheats?

I was wondering how to get and use cheats on gameyob and gbarunner2 is it as simple as as twilight menu, different or not able to be done at all google doesn't really help me with all inquires not leading anywhere so please let me know thanks so much.

I followed the steps exactly, and ensured my file was IDENTICAL in name to the rom (but with the .cht extension) and when I hit manage cheat codes, it still cant find any. What else could potentially cause this? Ive tried it for several games, but am specifically looking to use with Pokemon Blue.
