Hacking Gamma? 3.4??

I was away for a long time....would someone tell me what is gamma(and where to get) and what the 3.4 update does?

glad to see the search function is alive and kicking..ok here goes

1. gamma is a greek letter
2. you get it from the internet
3. the update funily enough updates your wii to 3.4

The BackupLoader Gamma, well... loads backups. At the moment it has the best compatibility. So if you can run run homebrew, you can run the loader.

3.4 doesn't really add more functions. One one (and probably the only) improvement is the sd read speed. Furthermore the 3.4 update tried to ban homebrew and disables illegal channels.

So no need to update at all.
