GBA Movie Player Issue

I recently picked up a GBAMP and was super excited to use it. I was told I would be able to play NES games on it if i updated it. I was provided with the update files and when I went to update everything went fine and it updated successfully. The next screen after the update said something along the lines of "this is not licensed by Nintendo" and then the next screen was glitched out. I shut the system off and when I went to reboot I get nothing but a white screen. When switching the switch to game mode it loads the GBA game just fine but when switched to movie nothing but a white screen. Please help!!!!

For anyone who has problems with their GBAMP and finds this thread, I made a program which fully erases the GBAMP's firmware and rewrites it back to a known stock version.
