Hi all

Just a quick observation.

People who visit #Gbatemp will naturally assume it's part of GBATemp.
Perhaps posting a stickie or something, explaining that they are separate entities might clear up any confusion/assumption.

we could put a big flashing sign up and people would still make posts moaning that they had been banned and what can be done about it

I suggested this at the meeting u know, add a mirc link on the main page where you can find how to use mirc (with the tutorial) and info related to #gbatemp can be posted. (eg, the forum has nothing to do with the channel and how to message someone when you're banned)

That is a good idea. It might cut down on the number of people asking things like that.

Yeah, An Excellent Idea which was brung up by dice at the Member meeting. It is true they are seperate entities. So Yes it might just be what GBATemp needs.

I was away at the time of the meeting, so I didn't know it was brought up.

But if it was brought up why wasn't it mentioned here ?

Well its not really a major issue, more like a big annoyance. It will get seen to, but I wouldnt worry too much about it. There is a lot of other stuff to take care of first of course.

ok.. so #gbatemp has no relation whatsoever with gbatemp.net? just a namesake? oh, and the roms? it might also be a good way to start to actually find games.. i get it!
