Did not know that one. Awesome.

In other news it's now working! It seems that ModMii had downloaded me a bugged/corrupted version of WiiFlow and on top of that the Forwarder Channel I was using is now broken. Oh well. Can anybody give me a link to somewhere with good forwarder channels for the main emulators and WiiFlow?

Edit: Final syscheck.log file for you guys.

Anything I should be deleting? I tried to load WindWaker via WiiFlow but it just caused the console to turn off. I'd guess this means that DIOS-MIOS hasn't loaded properly.

/wbfs/[game name]/[game].wbfs for most of the games.
Ones that I just ripped with WiiFlow before trying to update are just in the /wbfs folder.

I'll d/l the latest WiiFlow and check as well as getting a new syslog to check in the next couple of hours. I'm having a serious problem with batteries (basically the ones that we have hold charge for about an hour).

I just reformatted this HDD and I distinctly remember setting it to 32kb clusters.

Your wbfs format is wrong. It should be either,

/wbfs/GameID.wbfs
/wbfs/XXXX_[GameID]/GameID.wbfs
/wbfs/GameID_XXXX/GameID.wbfs

Example:
/wbfs/R92E01.wbfs
/wbfs/Pikman2_[R92E01]/R92E01.wbfs
/wbfs/R92E01_Pikman2/R92E01.wbfs

Download WiiFlow from here,
http://code.google.com/p/wiiflow/downloads/list

I've got it working properly. My WBFS format is right (I redid it all using Wii Backup Manager). My GC loading isn't working properly though and I'm wondering if there's anything I should be deleting from my Wii to avoid it getting confused later (see last post for a syscheck.log)

Make sure your USB is formatted to FAT32 with cluster/allocation size no more than 32 KB

Put GC games like this:
Code:
USB:/games/GAMEID/

You can use ISO (has to be clean, game.iso), GCM, DiscEX, or GCReEx (extracted format, will have folder root and sys). Use GameCube ISO tool to convert it between,
http://www.wiibackupmanager.co.uk/gcit.html

Configure WiiFlow to the proper GC game path.

I've been using the supplied tool from DM to convert to its optimised format (space cleared out).

How can I double check my FAT32 cluster size? I'm pretty sure that it's 32KB.

Run this command under CMD

Code:
chkdsk X:
where you replace X with appropriate drive letter.

Look for allocation units.
Bugger... it's showing up as 65bytes per allocation unit. Time to reformat I guess :/

Update: Still not working but my original ISOs have been scrubbed so that might be the issue. I'll try doing a clean rip from my Wii and see if that works. If not it must be something else.

If it is in ISO format you must use original 1:1 copy, no scrubbing.

If you want to scrub it use GCReEx format instead. GCReEx basically extracts all files out (like extracting files from ZIP).

Think I figured out what was going on. I was trying to launch without a disc and the result was black screening. I know these are per-game issues but shouldn't at least some work? Looking up WindWaker for instance on the compatibility table it doesn't say I need a disc.

You must enable the NoDisc patch if you're going to play games without a disc in the disc drive. Even if you enable the patch, some games still won't work without a disc. Wind Waker works without a disc with the NoDisc patch enabled.

Are you for sure are using the latest WiiFlow and DIOS MIOS? If you are using latest version of both, you shouldn't need to select NoDisc patch (DM will automatically patch it on-the-fly if there is no disc).

I'm using WiiFlow 4.1 and DIOSMIOS 2.8.

Edit: False alarm. The problem was fixed by me reinstalling DIOS-MIOS, not by turning on/off no-disk mode. It must have failed the first time around.
