When I got my system for Christmas I noticed a piece of lint/dust under the top screen. Tried to deal with it but I just can't anymore. Incalled about 20+ gameStops today not even joking just to find only 2 of them have Zelda 3DS bundles left in stock.

The first few stores I called I explained my system was the limited edition bundle and that it had lint under the screen, a manufacturers defect in my opinion. They told me they can't replace it for that since the system works fine.

So I called other local GameStops in my area lied to them and said mu sustem had been locking up and freezing at random during start up and during some gameplay. They were kind enough to call the stores who had the Zelda bundles in stock and have it shipped to their store so I can exchange it locally and not have to go out of my way.

Really hope they let me do a system transfer while I am there..If not 8'm losing 100 streetpass tags and about 45,000 steps.

Hope they can do the system transfer =) That really sucks though.. I got the same bundle. Mine was okay, thankfully. Some lint got stuck under my psp screen though.. so I know how annoying it is >.< lol

I've got a piece of some sort of dust/debris under my top screen too -- and it's right in front of the inner camera sensor. It shows up as a hazy, translucent region on the screen.

Should of made a stink about it, but I was too in love with the beauty of this red system get to mad enough about it and do something. :P

Well this sucks, got a call back from GameStops the local ones and they told me their stores don't receive shipments from other stores it's "Just something they aren't doing at this time". So I went into the store, exchanged my system and settled for a Black one, asked the cashier if I or he could do a system transfer so I don't lose my e-shop games. His response was "Sorry it's store policy we don't do system transfers, and we don't have the equipment for it (Wifi)".

I went home called Nintendo to see what they can do explained the situation to them, explained that I had the previous 3DS serial number registered to my Club Nintendo Accountand it shows on my Club Nintendo Account that I did in fact purchase the games. They told me to check one more time with GameStop just to be sure they're positive that they can or can not do the system transfer. And if they can't to call them back and they will see what they can do for me.

So I called GameStop a few hours ago let them know what happened and spoke to a nicer guy different than the one that did my exchange. He explained why they don't do system transfers, their reasoning is because if theirs any porn on the device or adult content they don't want kids to get a hold of it so they format every used system they get. He then checked to see if my system had been formatted already and it hasn't. So he told me he'll leave a sticky note on it telling others not to format it and that I could come in and talk with the store manager tomorrow to see what they could do for me.

I'm hoping we could just go to the McDonalds a few stores down the hall inside the mall and do a system transfer there using their wifi (I'm going to make sure my 3DS can connect to it and go online before I even go to GameStop and if it does I'll suggest that if the manager isn't busy).

I don't have a laptop, I'm on a desktop. All I got is my iPhone 4S only way I could tether is to call Verizon have them enable it and they said depending on how much data I use in an hour or 2 at most they said it'd cost $1.50-$2 bucks.

Do you know if they trade it for a 3DS which has a different Club Nintendo PIN?

Just got out of GameStop, I explained to the store manager that there is a system transfer option and that both systems just needed to be updated for it which they were. I explained to him I would lose my eshop games as well since they are tied to the system and not the account.

He shockingly enough let me leave the store to go to the food court where there was a good wifi signal with both 3DS systems (Mines and the stores system I exchanged yesterday). So long as I checked in with him once in a while so I dont run off with the system.

System Transfer was a success I have my pushmo, freaky forms, streetpass data and I couldn't be happier.
