Homebrew Golden Sun The Lost Age on 3ds(xl)

Hi.
I have a GBA SP, NDS, and 3dsxl (old style). Just acquired a gg for GSDD, and in a "flash" of nostalgia I would like to replay GS1 and 2 before jumping into the guide.
(I finished GS1 on GBA and got stuck in GS2 ages ago, and sold all gba games long ago)

I put the GS1 and GS2 roms on my Acekard (wood) and tested on my 3dsxl with gbarunner 7 and 9.
Results:

GS1 runs fine on my 3dsxl. However, saving on 3dsxl then testing on NDS showed "corrupt save file" after clicking [start], so I guess gbarunner7/9 does not like my 3ds. You might want to know.
GS2 does not get past the GBA loading screen however. On gbarunner 7/9 nor on NDS.

Now, this is a first world problem ofc, but still:
(-) can play GS2 on GBA SP via M3 card, but screen brightness is poor plus audio is poor.
(-) can play GS2 on desmume, but that just is not the same, prefer a handheld.
(-) could repurchase GS2 card but then having this ugly plastic sticking out of my DS is annoying.

So... I'd like to play GS2 rom via emu on handheld. Did anyone get past the loading screen of GS2 rom? If so, what steps?

No. and from what's been said. its going to be a while till the issues are sorted out. You got a flashcart. or use the pc. 3ds emu is out for now.

I've tested a virtual console injection of golden sun 2 the lost age and it seems to run just fine on my N2DSXL, hopefully you can get it to run OP
