Hardware gonna be buying a HP dc5800 for $5 what upgrades should I get?

My gut is if you can find a GTX 960 for cheaper to go with that. Clock rate hasn't changed much, but Instructions Per Cycle has. So, yea, it's unclear if going beyond that will net you very much if anything. Of course, it'd help if there were someone who had ran benchmarks instead of just going on gut feeling. :)

but the psu only is 240w and doesn't the 960 need extra power

I hate to bump my thread some more but has anyone found a way to overclock a 1333fsb cpu on a non overclockable motherboard? i wanna get closer to 3.0 ghz but my cpu runs at 2.66ghz its a q8400 if anyone cares
