Retro-Bit is bringing some of the most popular video games into your hands this holiday season with its new GoRetro! Portable handheld console.
Available in UK, Germany, France, Spain, Italy, Nordics, Benelux and other European countries at €39.99, Retro-Bit’s Go Retro! Portable features over 260 games including favorites from publishers The Tetris Company, Capcom, and Data East, such as Tetris, Mega Man, Mega Man 2, Mega Man 3, Ghosts n Goblins, Strider, 1942, Gun Smoke and more. The Go Retro! Portable comes in blue and white color.

Distributed exclusively in EU by Koch Media, the Go Retro! Portable features up to 10 hours of non-stop gameplay using 4 AAA batteries. Fans can alternatively play by plugging the handheld into a micro-USB cable. The Go Retro! Portable features a 2.8 inch high-resolution screen, volume control, 3.5mm headphone jack, and an intuitive user interface.

“The Go Retro! Portable offers a simple and effortless way for gamers to dive into retro gaming at a solid price point” said Ali Manzuri, Product and Business Development at GOE Distribution/Retro-Bit. “We wanted to let players relive the experience without having to go through the hassle of searching for consoles, controllers, and cartridges as well as being confined to their living rooms. With the introduction of Retro-Bit’s new handheld, players can now take the experience of their home consoles anywhere!” adds Ron Pang, VP of Sales and Marketing at Innex Inc/Retro-Bit.

I honestly never liked these retro consoles, i find the market to be over saturated with this sort of stuff, but this time i think they got it right:
licensed games, not another illegal romset that i can download myself
low price, i mean 40€ for 260 (again, licensed, not just downloaded from the internet) games? It's much cheaper than buying them physically or on virtual console
I don't know if it's actually good, but on paper it sounds like a good deal

I hate to be that guy, but why must we get another NES console? Why can't we get other games from Snes, Mega Drive, etc? Why must it always be NES? I mean come on.
Let me guess, they're using stolen emulator source code from RetroArch developers?

Edit: It's always NES, NES, NES, come on Retro-bit, give us Snes for once.

So they decided to release this as opposed to the retroboy they announced almost 2 years ago?

They already had the unit ready but seemed like they were a bit hesitant because nintendo and their classic consoles ( they expected a classic gameboy).

The bitboy is almost the same exact thing and thinner in fact there 4 or 5 variants that have the same type of look and size factor and but cheaper.

For now it doesn't look like nintendo will continue with its classic mini models because as i heard reggie said they were launched because of the bad Wii U sales and with the switch doing pretty good he mentioned nintendo does not want to take attention away from that

These systems were already out in usa almost a whole month ago , i saw a couple of them in target and bestbuy

Oddly enough this actually has a ROM that's worth extracting from it.

There' a brand new NES Tetris game in it. It actually doesn't suck. But i would hate to play on it's crappy hardware. there seems to be no other source of the game.

I duuno if this uses onebus specific features, or is a legit NES rom.

This is very interesting, i had no idea it was exclusive. I haven't double checked this so i could be wrong, but searching online i've found the developer's website:
https://shiru.untergrund.net/aboutme.shtml
maybe he could tell us if it's technically possible to play it on original hardware

yeah, he's the author.

it appears like it would work as a NES rom, but for example the "nes" Frogger from majesco won't run on an actual NES, and uses JUST enough onebus only stuff to NOT work on a real NES.
