So I wanted to launch an app from the CFW menu by inserting a game card and launching by holding "R", but instead of getting my user selection, I got an update window, but before I could stop myself, I hit "A". I didn't understand why it would look for an update while Nintendo's sites were blocked and I was expecting a communication issue error box, but instead, it rebooted my console and showed me this message:

It then brought me back to Hekate where I tried going back to my EmuMMC, but with same issue. I am able to go back to the OFW, so the system is not completely broken, only my EmuMMC. I tried restoring the backup via Hekate, but after rebooting, same issue.

Any ideas?

You updated to 14.0.0, lucky for you atmosphere 1.3.0 just came out with support for 14.0.0 :3

I would be slightly concerned as to how your emummc managed to get the 14.0.0 update though...

I downloaded the update, replaced the files on my MicroSD card, but it didn't change anything. You sure that this was the issue?

Actually, I think that error message is from hekate? if you're using hekate you might need to also update it in addition to atmosphere. (Sorry about that!)

Do you know if your setup is using fusée or fss0 (package3) to boot? You can check in /bootloader/hekate_ipl.ini, copy/paste the contents here if you're unsure.

(When you restored a backup, did you restore it to emummc or sysmmc? If you restored an older version to emummc then I would have expected it would work again )

To answers your questions:

1- No clue how it updated to 14.0 since I just tried updating a game and it failed
2- I'm using fss0 (package3)
3- I restored to EmuMMC since the OFW is still bellow 14.0
