Hi!
To preface this: I have experience building PCs. Don't tell me something is going to be hard, I already know it's going to be hard.
I own 2 nintendo switch consoles, a day 1 nintendo switch and a switch lite. I'm looking to gut and rebuild one of them.
The switch lite runs on an ARM cpu, it and the hard drive are fastened in some kind of weird way. I'm not quite sure on how to describe it as I'm yet to try and remove them, but I know it's confusing.
I'm not sure how integrated the day-1 switch's hard drive is.
For both of these, I referenced ifixit's teardowns.
Essentially what I'm looking to do is upgrade the CPU to x86 or x64 and replace the SSD, or alternatively, install a new operating system over the switch's. IDEALLY steamOS.
Which console will this be (relatively) easier to do on? CAN this be done, or am I crazy?
