Hacking has there been little advances with ps4 homebrew

The situation is this, there are multiple people who probably have "jailbroken" PS4s, qwertyorioup et al.
They don't currently want to release thier exploits at the moment (can't be bothered, don't want heat from Sony or just don't want others to pirate or have access to homebrew). Hackers in general are incredibly jealous and secretive about exploits. The rest of us are just script kiddies.
There are a few public webkit vulnerabilities and one or two PoC mentioned here and there in certain IRC channels. No one seems to really be open about kernel exploits/PE.
No body who can jailbreak PS4 with a recent firmware seems to want to release it and atleast a handful of people seem to have done it.
Put another way, not enough people are interested in jailbreaking PS4s.

And it's exactly this mentality that consecutively kills each scene as the generations roll on. The Xbox scene was orginated by a really rough and ready exploit in the font system that was released as it was discovered into the wild where it bought joy to some and tears to others as their machine looped but once they had an entry point and a way of looking from the inside out other hackers not as specialised or techy as the first one set about making refinements and searching for other flaws and thus the much safer cd da exploit was born before another set of hackers took that work and smoothed out its glitches and overall it all evolved into a gestalt hack that was super smooth in both installation, appearance and effect and that's before we even mention the burgeoning homebrew scene that birthed xbmc that evolved into kodi.
See what I'm saying?
It was a community thing and it was a great buzz to be a part of it as it was all going on as hacks were released and inplemted as they were found and loads of different people with differing talents all were pitching in to make it what it was.
It speaks volumes that the emulators that ran on that souped up pentium of an Xbox with 64mb of ram far exceed what came after in terms of emulation quality on much more powerful systems and it's all due to conceited gatekeepers and their "no. My hack. But like me plz" social media whoring.
So many devs sitting around twiddling their thumbs due to these antics and who knows what talent and ideas lay untapped out there.
As I said these clowns will release the ps4 exploit around the time the ps5 will drop in order to avoid any heat due to their social media addiction and deep need for validation and after that everyone will just move on so aside from an ISO loader and some simple homebrew (see wii u scene for an example of how this will play out) you won't see anything that harnesses the ps4s power and that is a darn shame.
