Well it's a dating sim with the characters replaced with photos of birds, I can't imagine it took any longer than another sim of it's size.

When I first saw the title, I thought it was a typo for "Hateful Boyfriend" and I was like

When I first saw the title of this game I thought it was a typo for "Hateful Boyfriend" and I was like

Then I saw it was a Japanese game and then I realized that the word はーとふる (actually "hātofuru" with an elongated "ah" sound) is a "Japlish" word for "heartful." So it's actually supposed to be "Heartful Boyfriend."

But the Japanese word "hato" also means "pigeon" so it can even be translated as "Pigeonful Boyfriend." This double-meaning title was almost certainly intended.

A better localized title than "Hatoful" would be "Pigeon-y Boyfriend," but then the second meaning, "Heartful" would be lost in translation.
