Help me find a side scroller

Hi i'm trying to find a game I played as a kid in the mid 90s. It was a side scrolling arcade airship shooter.

I played it at a local pizzahut and have no idea what it was called. All I can remember is you had some kind of fighter and you flew the the mission and fought enemy ships, I think aliens.

Any help and information is appreciated.

Salamander was a popular machine in my local leisure centre as well as Silkworm but that was more military than aliens iirc.

My local Pizza Hut actually had Aero Fighters 2, neat game.

Anyways, I would think the most popular would be the two mentioned, Gradius or R-Type. But another option might be something like Darius?
