How do I add .Sav files to my 3DS?

Using Checkpoint, I have used save files like the USA version for MK7 with many different folders I googled and found on the internet and it works perfectly:

However, when trying to use a save file for Mario Party Island Tour that is in .Sav File I can't get Checkpoint to install it

I think that's a gateway save. Can't do anything without the card.
