How to fix a squeaky bed
Some hacking tips to fix it:
1 - Start by lifting off the mattress, and pushing/pressing on each wood (or metal) pieces on the frame and move gradually, see for any cracked wood pieces etc. to pinpoint where the noise is coming from.
2 - Wouldn't hurt to clean any dirt, hair, debris & what have you given the occasion.
3 - then check the corners and tighten any screws there.
4 - once you're sure where the noise is coming, for me it was a wooden piece pressing against the wooden frame making that squeaky sound when pressed against each other, i had to unscrew it, then i put a piece of padding (leftover vinyl pieces) between the two just enough for it to not make any sound, and et voila!
- For you It might be a cracked/ or split wooden piece or the frame itself, in that case you can use wood glue, and some plywood to secure it in place.
5 - profit??
