Stores tend to sell out and restock direct from Sony, so unless it’s a small independent store with old stock: the bigger stores will sell the latest model with the highest firmwares.

Only good up to 4.03, I think that site needs a update on their database, this site was from last year.

I recently got a 2.50FW from japan using the Buyee website. Just searched for brand new CFI-1000A consoles and asked the some questions for a few of the listing on when it was purchased. The 3.00FW was released on 14 April 21, so if they purchased the console around that date then it should be fine. (Mine was purchased by the seller in May 21 - was taking a chance but it worked out)

Thought I bought it for a reasonable price (just slightly over retail), but was not prepared for the shipping fees and GST costs!!
The Shipping and GST was over half the price of the console! I had to pay as I already order the console.
Happy I got it though.
