So, this is probably gonna sound noobish or obvious, I don't know. Now, I recently got these headsets on sale (kinda) and they're basically some of the best headphones one can use for gaming from the HyperX line.
My concerns though, are related to the firmware and features that are missing and kind of worrisome. Now, I'm not planning on returning them, because it's just a waste of time and effort, and the sound quality is absolutely fantastic. But the features that are missing are, auto shutoff after X minutes of inactivity, and the option to disable USB charging. The last one is a bit silly as using the USB A to USB C connector is required to power the device on a PC or console.
That alone doesn't bother me, what bothers me is the lack of auto shutoff and disabling USB charging, because surely, that's going to obliterate the battery (it's weird, as you can use it for Bluetooth as well), and having to turn it off manually gets annoying, as I'd like for it to shut off in case I forget, putting my mind at ease. Question is, did I make a mistake getting these headphones? Are there firmware versions newer than 2019? Because all I could find were ones from late 2019, and I really don't want to use default drivers either.
The other part I wanted to address is Windows 10 and using dual audio inputs, or rather, using the speakers and USB audio at the same time. And yes, it is possible so long as you set Stereo Mix to the USB audio, and viola, you can use both. But what I want to know is, is there a better way to do this in Windows 10?
