..........I can't trust sysupdater anymore after it soft-bricked my New 3DS, so I am stuck on 4.5. Well, no S/M for me.
You do realize that its the only way to actually downgrade/update to a specific version? Also use plaisysupdater.

Well, I can also find Cooking Mama cart and update to 9.2, but I don't know if I actually need this. Also it's plaisysupdater which soft-bricked my New 3DS...........

or you know.. actually buy the gameI hope the same happens to sun and moon. That way rxtools users have to update to play it.
Even if you buy the game the problem will still happen. You need the updated firm/kernel to workor you know.. actually buy the game
isn't that an option anymore?
i know pokemon series deserves to die and not be the simpsons of videogames... but still
Even if they buy the game, it won't work on RXTools. Any game/software requiring a NATIVE_FIRM dependent will not work on older FIRMs regardless if it's legit or not.or you know.. actually buy the game

I was downgrading right when 11.0 came out, so not too long ago, y'know. And that's why tools have updated, changed, and became more stable.
Plus you don't even need to downgrade anymore if you wanted to go with A9LH.
Basically, your fear is out of date.
Were you using the latest sysupdater from the guide?I was downgrading right when 11.0 came out, so not too long ago, y'know.
Yes, I was using the guide, now I am stuck on 11.0 on my New 3DS. So yeah, it's hard to trust that guide anymore. Were you using the latest sysupdater from the guide?
The guide is not at fault here. If you soft-bricked your 3DS, then most likely it was something on your end. Often times DSi games can cause issues with downgrading or issues with the SD card. When working on my boyfriend's 3DS, I had to uninstall Pokemon Yellow to get his 3DS to downgrade without softbricking.Yes, I was using the guide, now I am stuck on 11.0 on my New 3DS. There is an actual, tangible risk involved with deliberately corrupting a FIRM partition. While nowadays, the risk is similar to a grown man picking a fistfight to the death with an eight year old child, the possibility of the child winning, while minimal, is still nonzero. Random power outages happen - batteries get knocked loose for the shortest time, and SD Cards too
the guide could use a verify sd card part... that teaches how to use tools like H2testw to make sure the sd card is not corrupting stuffThe guide is not at fault here. That actually should be part of the guide. Who writes the guide? Message them this idea!the guide could use a verify sd card part... that teaches how to use tools like H2testw to make sure the sd card is not corrupting stuff
i had a pen corrupting stuff without me knowing! randomly figured something was not right when a song was skipping audio when i was sure i had a good copy of the file

That's not an issue with the updater itself. I'm betting you didn't format before downgrading.I can't trust sysupdater anymore after it soft-bricked my New 3DS, so I am stuck on 4.5. Well, no S/M for me.
"A9LH" ain't longer than "ARM9", sorry for you, but the term "ARM9" means something different.I mean arm9lh but is a bit long
So, animal crossing update with luma and homemenuhax its suposed to work? I'm not in that case, my game doesnt work with the new update
Technically, all 3DSes have ARM9 installed. :VARM9 is not installed. A9LH/K9LH is.
Please don't call it ARM9. x.x
It isn't wrong, tbh. Anyone who is willing to cling to a broken CFW and willing to bother to fix every issue that does not occur in other CFWs, especially when switching takes 5 minutes, is .... Well. All I'm getting from this thread is less helpful information and more "If you don't switch over by doing x or y you're just a fucking idiot "
