Homebrew I’m a noob with the 3Ds scene please help

Hey there everybody,

So I’m sure some of this may be covered in some other threads which I don’t mind reading but I figured I would ask if anybody knew how to update or how to go about modding a 2DS on Ofw version 11.8.0-41U. I know about recovery mode but I don’t know how to update to a specific firmware without connecting to the Nintendo servers.

Any help is appreciated

Thank you sir, I have been reading that but it doesn’t say anywhere about the possibility of installing an update from the micro sd card.

You cant install a specific update (aside from the latest) unless you already have the ability to run homebrew. You'll have to follow the 3ds hack guide for your specific fw version.

But i wouldn't say its easy and it will take about 1 hour so go slowly .... it really has everything you need to complete you're HACK ....
Then UPDATE ...

I was once just as much as a noob as you. I followed the 3DS Guide, step by step, and everything turned out mighty fine. Just do the steps as they're said there, don't skip any and read attentiously. It's very, very noob friendly, but it really requires your attention.
