Hacking In need of a decent guide for FTP access...

I’m on 4.05 and installed updateblockerV2.bin
Now I want to update to 4.55

Using xvortex ftp payload.
What’s the next step?

My PS4 system setting show the IP for PS4 192.168.1.20
When I use winscp ftp with these settings:
192.168.1.20
1337
FTP
Blank user name
Blank password

I get a error that the host refused connection.

Help would be great.
What am I missing?

See if you have better luck with Filezilla.

Agreed filezilla is incredibly easy to use.

There is a FTP payload for 4.05 and another for 4.55 on his github.

The OP mentioned he used update blocker, so we can assume he wants to FTP in to remove the files blocker creates, inorder to successfully update his console to 4.55 via USB.

Why not just us the payload to remove the update blocker?

And

Couldn't he just do recovery mode with a USB and update to 4.55 with the UPDATE.PUP?

1. Yes, but he asked about FTP.

2. No, it would still be unable to update. I tried this method thinking it should work and didn't.
