Following on from @Vulpes Abnocto's state of the temp thread, I've had a few ideas about how to increase the quality of postings here. These are just suggestions so anybody is of course free to disagree.
  1. Replace post count with 'like ratio'. This would divide the number of likes by the number of posts to give a score for the user. This would encourage users to make quality posts which garner likes in order to increase their like ratio rather than shitposting to increase their post count
  2. Prevent users with fewer than 100 posts from posting in the tutorials forums. I for one get fed up seeing people post questions there
  3. Remove the 'ask' feature. The postings here seem to be repetitive and of low quality. I'm not sure why this is, but I wonder if it's because some users see the 'ask' button and click it straight away without looking at the forums.
  4. Moderate the EOF. I realise that th EOF is designed to be open for any discussion, but I think it encourages shitposting which inevitably spills over to the main forums. It's a bit like a rowdy bar where people fall out into the street and keep being rowdy even though they're not in the bar any more...

I try. But this one was making fun of the temp and called us -Insert Really Bad And Stereotypical Word For Gay- and little -Insert Slang Term For Poop- and finally attention -Insert Sexually Explicit Word For Person Wanting A Lot Of Sex-
I think that was part of the massive raid a couple weeks back. Again I can not stress this enough REPORTING IS SLOW. We need Content managers. Unless the Mods are willing to step up their game.

Mini mods - No. That's too much power to such a little feature.

Content managers -
Rename threads
Move threads
Delete threads

We need like 10 then we're good.
Heck, just to be able to hide a thread until a mod approves deletion would be a good step forwards.

Only one vote for one person. Easy said that's done. Also it's hidden. If a mod doesn't think it should be ended he could just end the poll of ending such thread and not allow it to be voted upon again.
And if a developer is unpopular? Their work gets removed. I doubt there is a way you could implement it without it being abused.

Not removed, hidden. Their work will be reviewed by mods and if its "removal" worthy they'll remove it. But if not they'll bring it back and ofcourse can't be "hidden reported" again! You're not getting what I'm saying.

Has been proposed before. The mods don't do it because it gives them too much workload.

Before people become Global Moderators, they mus first become Moderators. During this phase they are given more permissions than the averge user but much less than a GMod (I think) after this phase, it' up to the staff (Supervisors?) To decide whther they promote into a GMod or demote to a normal member. Adding more mods when we have just enough might just not be right

Isn't that why a mod is here though?! Vins4mod2016???? JUST GET SOME NEW MODS IF YOU DON'T WANT TO TAKE PEOPLES SUGGESTION!
Being a mod requires certain qualities not many people have. Just being popular on a forum isn't enough. For one, the ability to remain calm when people are mad at each other (or at you) and not abuse power. Also, the ability not to take a side in a flame war debate, and ban only those that break the rules on both sides. There's more, but let's just say that being a mod is not easy.
