How can I tell if a WAD is safe to install onto the vWii?

I just installed a new CFG usb loader forwarder last not and it works fine...

yes virtual console wiiware wads can be installed on vwii but be careful, the way i test wads is i install them on my usb loaders nand emulator first just to make sure there safe.

no worries. They all installed. Although its disappointing to see that the vwii doesnt make more use of the wii u's internal free space....

I've downloaded a few wads and a bunch of them says "this channel is unavailable" Is this because of the region locking of the wads? And is there anyway around it at this point in time?

You can patch the WADs to region free however I don't know if it works on vWii. Won't hurt to try though.

Hi all,
I have some doubts about the installation of wads on vwii.
I have read on several forums that it's a good idea to install wads file on the EmuNand. It seems that it is possible to do a backup of vWii nand using usb loader Gx and then install whatever wad (related to a wiiware or VC game) on the EmuNand.
The procedure seems to be the following:
Do the backup of the vwii nand using usbloader gx (it seems that you can use also an SD card (formatted in FAT32) where you put inside the loader and the wads you want to install).
Then launch the usb loader gx and install the wad into the EmuNand directly from the loader (without using any Wad manager or YAMN, ...).
Then launch the usb loader gx and set the option to visualise the games installed as "EmuNand channels".
Is it correct ?
Is there anyone that was able to install wad games into the emuNand of vwii ?
How much is the size of the backup of the vwii nand ?
Are the wads to install on vwii exactly identical to the ones used for wii ? Is it possible to use both PAL and NTSC wads ?

Discount is based on Wii Shop Channel account, not installed titles. Since installing a WAD does not make that file available for download in the Wii Shop Channel, it will not provide a discount on the Wii U eShop.

Yea. I tested it, and, everything's looking A-OK with the Internet Channel! Even though, I need to know how to restore the Mii Channel and i'ts save data.
