What a coincidence, I just found checked it out before I saw this post. It certainly is expensive for a media/homebrew only cart, if it was lowered down by less than half that price it might be worth it.

The Dingoo is better worth your money. No offense, but these people are just stealing your money. Use Moonshell. iPlayer is just made for the lazy people. If it could boot nds roms, then that would be awesome, but sadly, it can't. I bet even Nintendo could sponsor the iPlayer since it doesn't do anything illegal.

You have a point right there, but what exactly is this dingoo thing..? care to give link on review, discussion or something? looking at the links posted above it seems like a hand held of some sort designed for multimedia?

.rmvb playing sounds nice. Most of my anime is in that format, .avi too. Just a bit too high in res.

Unless there's something that does that already? Haven't been checking the DS scene for a while.

if most of your anime is in .rmvb then I suggest getting a better place to DL or a better release group
they should be .mkv or .ogm alot of the time, and sometimes .avi

I prefer rmvb cause of the small file size. And less trouble when trying to burn DVDs. I get mkv when I can or have to(old torrents, new releases), but it takes up quite a bit of space, and more of a hassle to burn. I've never heard of or used ogm, and probably not going to bother unless I have too.

And I'm not too picky on quality. ^^

Yeah that Dingoo thing has more stuff and everything but I'd rather spend my money on flashcarts & microSD cards and just convert the videos to .DPG instead of wasting all that money so I'm ok for that right now, I will definitely get if they put it at half price but not useful for now

I'm with this man.

We already have flashcarts. This is the exact same thing, but it's with moonshell and can't boot roms.

Just download moonshell.

You people are missing the point of this cart. "Get a Dingoo" is a stupid thing to say in response to this. If people wanted a dedicated device for everything then phones wouldn't have cameras, web browsers, music players, applications, etc. The PSP would be a completely different machine. Moonshell would not exist! This is for the purpose of integration and ease of use.

And beyond all that, not a lot of people want to pirate games. They just want what they want. They want it simple and functional, not convoluted and semi-functional. This allows any DS user to just throw their videos and music on a microSD card and have them play. No converting, no hassle.

Its a well build mini handheld that plays Neo-Geo, genesis, snes, nes, neo-geo poket, mastersystem, gba, CPs 1&2 ( capcom arcade ) plus its own games. It also has a TV out so you could use it like a controller on a big TV. You can read e-books listen to music or radio, looking movies without converting em. Well i like it very much its also smaller and way lighter then the DS.
Its really awesome if you travel alot, beside that it already has a community, custumfirmware and homebrew linux support.

DX, not selling this at low price this time.. I gues.

Well I wont buy the iPlayer until a romloader or anything of that kind comes out.
The chinese version of iPlayer is $28 at psxboy, so I might just get the chinese version in the future.

It's really not that bad. This flash cart has its own CPU inside the cart to allow for different multimedia support, that isn't going to come cheaply. It's still cheaper than a Cyclo and DX.com has free shipping. And it's also WAAAAYYY cheaper than buying a new PMP.
