Hey Everyone,

I just got a SX Pro and mt switch is on Fw 3.0.0 and newer games like mega man legacy are not loading as I believe my FW is too low. My questions are:

1. How do I play newer games and still stay on FW 3.0.0?
2. If I have to update my FW what is the newest version that SX Pro will still be usable?
3. How can I update to the newer FW without burning my fuse and if i can go back to FW 3.0.0 in the future?

I do have a backup of my NAND and BOOT0/1

thanks in advance.

1. get tinfoil (the old tinfoil) and install games while ignoring FW version. That should work.
2. 6.2.0 is not hackable yet.
3. Or update via choidujourNX do keep your fuse count low, so that you can later downgrade back.

  1. A lot of newer games will require you to update. You can update to 6.1.0 using ChoiDujourNX.
  2. 6.1.0 is the latest compatible version. Avoid 6.2.0 at all costs.
  3. ChoiDujourNX has an option to update without burning fuses, but it will require you to install AutoRCM.

Leave ofw alone, create emunand on the memory card. This way you won't ever have to touch your ofw and still be able to update emunand to whatever firmware you want.

Thanks everyone for the quick response. Are there any downside to installing AutoRCM? I hear if the dongle is out of battery I Cannot boot my switch?

The dongle only needs a few seconds charge to work so i guess it's worth it. I use it, no issues. I don't have a dongle, i use my phone to push the payload

I am using ExFat, I read that with Exfat and Emunand you get a black screen?

I think that some people have had this, not sure as i use fat 32. If it comes to playing large xci files i just use the dock with an external hdd attached to it

You will have to use the dongle or a computer each time you want to coldboot the system. That's the only real downside. If you keep your Switch in sleep mode when you're not using it, that shouldn't be much of an issue.

I guess my next question would be is there a guide to setting up EMUNAND from scratch on v2.3 and is there a location that you can download FW 6.10 to update EmuNAND since I going with the latest v6.2.0 will not work?

You can't ask for the 6.1.0 update files, since it's copyrighted. You can find updates files on certain dark places on the internet.

Boot into cfw.
After you push the payload hold vol+ to boot into tx menu.
Select emunand, create emunand. This will take a while.
Setup autorcm, next time you'll boot into emunand by default when you push the payload.
Download Choidoujur nx ( i think i've go it right[emoji3])
Message me for firmware files, not allowed on here.
Copy firmware folder onto mem card, launch the program, update.

I think i've got everything covered, at least this is how i did mine

some of the best selling games on the switch are wii u ports (that are priced way too high
like come on 60 for a game thats a decade old??)

@ColdBlitz, i forgot breath of the wild released for the Wii u
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
$60 for a game that's a decade old might be unheard of on PC but actually is not uncommon on consoles

especially Nintendo because they only ever lower the price of games when they do a greatest hits/platinum hits/players choice re-release
  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, and the HD collections released for 7th gen consoles too
  • The Real Jdbye @ The Real Jdbye:
but they don't seem to have done any of those for the switch yet and maybe never will

I think we all forgot breath of the wild released for the wii u tbh

  • Xdqwerty @ Xdqwerty:
@The Real Jdbye, tbh the HD collections are more justified since they include more than just 1 game per copy

@Xdqwerty, Non-binary people are those who don't identify themselves exclusively as male or female.
