Homebrew Is it possible to use cheat codes on a digital 3ds game

Want to start a alpha sapphire file with a certain pokemon, the game is digitally on my 3ds not a cart. Is there a way to use codes on it?

You could use PKSM and edit your starter to be a different Pokemon. That's the way I did it on my game.
