There seems to be a problem with some drivers making it so the install program doesn't recognize the connector. Is there any way to download the drivers required? Or make it so the program reconize the usb?

Windows XP/Vista is currently the only way that I know of, you can see how in a guide here

Virtual machine Windows XP. It works for me.
