Hacking Is sharing 3ds NAND illegal?

I know that the 3ds nand is per-console encrypted but I saw a thread of a guy asking for a nand backup, then an Administrator replied saying "sorry my friend you cant ask for that, it's illegal ...

Yes, sharing your NAND dumps is illegal and cannot be done on the GBAtemp forum as per the forum rules. This is the entire reason the Guide uses magnet links to distribute the CTRTransfer images.
