I dont have an action replay, but I have an R4 and an Acekard 2i.
is there some way I can back up my nds games saves, without using wifi? Is there a way I could just save them to the cart instead?
if not, what is the cheapest working save backup thing.

If you mean backup of original game carts without wifi then you're going to need a Slot-2 expansion like the EZ Flash 3-in-1.

If you means saves on your flashcard just copy and past the saves onto your computer.

Important: I do not know about the legitimacy (if it would be recommended) of this linked website, nor if the pricing is good, nor if the product is any good. I just thought I'd do a bit of quick "googling" to try and help

Obviously, only you will be able to decide if this is what you really need, or a Slot-2 device alternative.

NDS Adapter (looks to be out-dated basic edition, that has problemss working on newer games such as Pokemon HG/SS, etc) = cost USD$12 : http://www.goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad/nds/ndsadapter.htm

NDS Adapter Plus (works for Pokemon HG/SS and is upgradeable to work for newer games = cost USD$26 : http://www.goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad/nds/ndsadapterplus.htm

Ha. How did I forget the USB dumper...? I'm so stupid. Anyway the site doesn't say what it will dump them in but whatever it is I'm sure we'll be able to convert it.

Found the User Manual but it still doesn't show what format it saves in... The "Save As" box is set to "All Files" so you can set your own format...maybe... idk.

I've used the usb save dumper, saved my file as a ".sav" file and was able to access the save on my Acekard / AKAIO 1.5.1 without any problem. I think it writes the 'raw save data' exactly as it appears in the eeprom so any flashcart that reads the 'raw save data' ought to be compatible.

Cheers!

The probably isn't enough people on here that would own of these rhings, so replies may be not forthcoming. I'd say you are going to have to make your enquiries directly to the manufacturer.

EMS NDS Adapter Manual: http://www.hkems.com/product/nintendo/NDS%...ual%20(Eng).pdf
EMS Product enquiries: [email protected]

You may even be able to purchase directly from them. Just ask if can buy one unit and at what cost.
