Just received it, and it doesn't appear to say.

It's a 32gb...it's not even in a box but in those casette player looking plastic cases.

EDIT: I believe it's the 3rd gen after seeing the headphones having a remote for volume on it...but just in case...post here...

Model: A1318

Also, since it's 3rd gen...I jailbroke it already...but is it true I cannot re-boot or power off? Because everytime I do I have to re-run blackra1n

im not sure about jailbreaking 3rd generation ipod touches... so i cant help you there

the first generation is block-y and the edges dont smooth around the device.

the 2nd generation and the third generation look almost identical when you look at them, but im pretty sure you can go to
settings->general->system info
to find what generation it is.
judging by what you say with the headphones, thats not exactly guaranteed since you can buy those headphones from apple, but the third generation came with them whereas the 2nd and 1st didnt.

i would check your settings on your ipod, but i think its a 3rd gen

To my (limited) knowledge, the 8GB iTouch is a 2nd gen while the 16GB and 32GB versions are 3rd gen.

And yes, you have to run blackra1n again if you ever need to power off or reboot. Just don't let the battery die, which isn't a terribly difficult task.
