Hardware Issues With Rudolph's GBA Backup Tool

Hi guys. I'm trying to get Rudolph's GBA Backup Tool V0.21 to work on my M3 DS Real, and I'm not having an ounce of luck. Upon booting the .NDS file, a red bubble with the text "This hardware is not available" pops up, and the DS shuts down. Am I missing a step, here? What could be going wrong?

Any help you can offer is appreciated.

M3 slot1 flashcarts are blacklisted from using his stuff because the M3 team sent him a C&D.

That is why the majority that use a M3 as a primary flashcart always have a non M3 flashcart for things like this. Edge, EZ-V or a real R4 will usually be used as the secondary in this case.

That is because the wifi version came out before the ban noob.

You have a version that works on M3 DS Real? Would it be possible for you to upload it?

gba backup tool should just work. never mind, he did stick ban code in there.


The 0.21 version has the M3 ban code.
The 0.2 version has the M3 ban code.
The 0.1 version doesn't have the M3 ban code: http://filetrip.net/file.php?id=2749

Thank you, I appreciate it! As I understand it, though, earlier versions of this tool don't support EEPROM saves. Is there another homebrew application out there that does?

GBA Backup Tool v0.2 and 0.21 does.
The only problem is that they both don't work with the M3...

I don't have a use for it but I'll hunt for on my backup drives. At one point someone came up with an IPS patch to allow it to work on M3 carts.
