how experienced, exactly, do the 2ch people seem? from the descriptions here, it seems like the people "working on stuff" there are just fiddling around with eboots and getting really hype every hour or so. I think the solution will be more complicated than just swapping an edited eboot, but that's far from meaning it's impossible.

Birth by sleep will never be patched, wanna know why? The game wasn't released on PSN for a reason. If people don't have to download it to their memory stick then they have no reason to allow the game to read off the memory stick. This means that Birth by sleep is only programed to read the UMD slot which disables the only way the game to work. You'd need some experienced hacker to change something within the game files to allow it to be read by memory stick... And as far as i can see none want to because it's in Japanese.

My guess is that eventually it will be patched somehow. and Square-Enix will have created a lot of hate for basically blocking access to PSPGo owners in order to make it hacker-proof, so once it is hacked, people will get even more pissed at them for continuing to not release it on PSN. that's just a guess, though.
