I'd rather you did take them down. It doesn't bode well when you can't even copy a simple name without mangling it.

devkitA64 and libnx are currently alpha, there is almost nothing that most people can do right now and making tutorials at this point is counter productive.

Just because you can't use doesn't mean it might not be useful to other people.

What would you prefer? A guide that can be modified and fixed or dozens of posts on here asking for help?

Uhhh something like the Wii had (like USB Loader GX) would be nice especially with 5GB Saves
Someone really needs to make a microsd card slot to sata interface adapter. Then problem solved lol. The chip in the converter will emulate/redirect the sd card storage to the HDD. The HDD becomes the flash chip in the sd card. I remember that hard drive adapter for gamecube that let you connect a ide drive to the memory card slot...

Honestly I've seen like, 10 events of people jumping the gun and telling the creator's of said program that they don't know whatever the hell they're doing. It's extremely ironic that people are quick to bite someone's ass without thinking when said person gives a valid point.

I get jammed up at the part where it tries to install from the nx folder. it doesn't generate those files with the *.d and then errors out from not finding them.

You're right, that is really low hanging fruit to use as bait. Put some effort into it.

I'm the one that built the tools, I'm pretty sure I can use them.

The simple fact is this stuff isn't ready for anyone to be writing guides on how to use it.
^this. These aren't really ready for anything outside of creating hello world type things. The people that can make use of this do not need a guide.

Look, I don't want to fight anyone... I updated my gist two weeks ago to have a warning on the top echoing your sentiment. However, I just saw that you made this comment on it:

I tested these instructions on 3 different machines, in what way are they "wrong" and "filled with irrelevancies"? If there's a constructive comment to be made, wouldn't it be easier just to make it?

I'm excited about Switch homebrew and have been documenting some of the public stuff which has been dropping with little to no READMEs or instructions... Ironically, posting my link here has to be the most notoriety it's received (so not much!).

libtransistor provides light instructions on how to set it up, compile the examples, and run them in Mephisto. libnx instructions just say "Setup $DEVKITA64 in your environment."

If you google "setup DEVKITA64", you get my instructions. I'm not going to take them down since they're useful to me, I put time and effort into them, and now it seems like a censorship issue. As far as I'm concerned, if you don't think DEVKITA64 is ready for prime time, you should take it up with the libnx readme.

I'm also not going to be linking my instructions anywhere else, so as long as official instructions come out, you shouldn't have to "worry" about them. I never saw any such instructions come out for the Wii U, however...

There's nothing constructive to say. The instructions are wrong and show a complete and utter lack of understanding of how the tools work, including steps which have zero bearing on anything..

Like I said, this stuff isn't ready for tutorials, things are still subject to change. You're being a hindrance, not a help.

Once everything is sorted properly the instructions will be "run the installer" done. Users who do that are unlikely to encounter issues from following random tutorials.

You don't see an issue with someone writing tutorials for a WiP toolchain and library without having discussed anything they're doing with the authors of the tools and libraries?

devkitPro have no official support for WiiU. Currently it's unlikely that we ever will.
