I spoke too soon. The game black screens as soon as you try to go to Elcid after the opening. Not sure if it's my card or the ROM, but I'm suspecting AP since it is a Square Enix published game.

Also I idly tried to play again and Elcid loaded fine, so I'm not sure what happened before. Maybe my CycloDS is crapping out on me. That would be terrible.
