Is it possible to utilize purchased eShop themes with MenuHax installed?
I have got to the point where I can install the colored ones and use those (black! :) ), but I prefer using the Shantae one for reasons unknown.

yes, u can. just dump theme files use 3ds home menu dump tool or something like that.
then rename both files to body_lz.bin bgm.bcstm copy to mroot of menuhax folder.

last select install with custom theme on menuhax install menu.

With the menuhax with custom theme support you can actually switch to an officially purchased theme once and it will still work, this is how I was using my official MH4U theme, if you switch again though you will lose the exploit and have to reinstall.

It's still safer to set it up as a custom theme instead and only switch through that but it is possible to just switch the once if you have no intention of switching again.

On 10.3 that's actually a bit different, the exploit is not the same, so it does not work. You have to do what @Februarysn0w said.
